Our client wished to see their proposed nursing home in context of its leafy surroundings in Redditch. The scheme included carefully chosen building materials and detailed plans for the extensive landscaped gardens. It was our task to incorporate this large, contemporary building, into it's 1930's suburban surroundings by introducing sympathetic building materials into the visual such as red brick, timber and render.
A set of six photorealistic visuals were commissioned by this client for the planning application of an ambitious scheme in Sutton Coldfield. The plans included major retail outlets, numerous modern apartments, a large public square with cafes and restaurants and a large multi-storey car park, all built around a small grade II listed restaurant. Everything had to be painstakingly built in 3D including many of the existing and surrounding buildings. The site was a sensitive one, and required careful co-ordination with the client, architect and planners, all of whom demanded the very highest level of accuracy.
This CGI visual shows how this new development would look with a landscaped courtyard. This helped the client see how the effect of walkways and planting would come across for potential buyers. The day time view worked so well that we were also asked to visualise the site at night, which you can also see here.
TWS required a night time visual that showed the residential and retail combination of this new build development in a prime Birmingham location. Photography was crucial as there is always the risk of a night shot looking too dark and lifeless. The lights of the cars and careful interior lighting addressed this risk effectively.
After the original design for this project was rejected by planners we were asked to create a CGI of the new proposal. Just the kind of pressure we thrive on! This particular image was to be shown to the client for approval before the architects continued with their drawing package submission. It needed to be as realistic as possible so we crafted a highly finished photographic representation. It certainly went down well - the client in question has subsequently commissioned us to work on a number of other projects.
By combining a high elevation point with internal/external lighting we were able to dramatise the full extent of the spacious interiors and imposing architecture at night.
